Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g sugar
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 200 g ground hazelnuts
- 125 g milk chocolate coating
- HIGH BAKING WAFERS (diameter 4-5 cm)
Preparation:
- Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff. Slowly add the sugar and then add the nutmeg and nuts.
- Distribute the HIGH BAKING WAFERS on baking trays and place small mounds of dough on top using two teaspoons.
- Place the cookies in the preheated oven. To dry them, wedge a wooden spoon in the oven door for the last 15 minutes so that the door does not close completely.
- Roughly chop the chocolate coating and melt it in a hot water bath. Dip the bottom or sides of the cookies into the chocolate and leave to dry on a wire rack.
Tip:
To prevent the pastry from becoming too dark, you may want to cover it with aluminum foil before the specified baking time has elapsed.
