Sustainability

Our products are made in Germany, directly at our site in Bürgstadt. We source the wheat flour, the main ingredient, locally from Franconian suppliers - in large quantities by silo truck, which minimizes transport routes.

Product residues and waste are sensibly reused in the feed and biomass industries.

To cool certain production areas, we use water from our own well, which we return to the groundwater after use.

With our smart photovoltaic system, we cover around 30 percent of our electricity needs and save around 100,000 kilograms of CO² annually.

With our steam boiler system, which will be put into operation in 2024, we save up to 15 percent energy. We use the waste heat generated to heat our rooms and heat water. The best thing: this system will soon be running on biogas or hydrogen - another step towards a greener future.

Our lighting is increasingly based on LED technology. We are also equipping our fleet with environmentally friendly Euro VI vehicles and electric cars.
